Privacy & HIPAA

How your information is handled.

Plain language. Nothing buried.

What this site collects

This site collects only what you choose to send. If you fill out the contact form, we receive your name, phone, email, and the reason for your visit. That message is delivered to Kate by email and isn't shared with any third party.

If you book an appointment through the Calendly widget, the information you enter on Calendly's screen (name, email, phone, and any notes you choose to add) goes to Calendly and to Kate. Calendly is the service that handles the calendar — we don't have a separate database holding it.

What this site doesn't collect

  • No health information beyond what you voluntarily put in a message
  • No insurance details — those are discussed in person, not on the site
  • No tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party retargeting
  • No patient portal, no logins, no records stored online

In the office

Inside the practice, your health information is protected under HIPAA. That's a federal law, not a marketing line — it dictates how clinical notes, test results, and any patient communication are stored, shared, and disposed of. You'll get a full Notice of Privacy Practices at your first appointment, which is the legally-binding document; this page is the website-side summary.

Patient reviews

If we ever feature a patient review on the site, only the first name and last initial are used — never a full name or any identifying detail beyond what the patient explicitly wanted shared.

Questions or requests

If you'd like to know what information we have about you, ask us to delete a contact-form message, or anything else privacy-related, call 320-805-1264 or email kate@select-hearing.com. We'll respond within a business week.

Last updated: May 2026. This summary may change as the practice grows; the binding Notice of Privacy Practices you receive in the office is the controlling document.
